I first noticed this in 124.0.1; it may also exist in 124. I don't remember
it in 123 or earlier.

I run Fx on a very slow but just-about-adequate machine, an Intel Celeron
N4000 (2 x Goldmont Plus cores) at around 2.6 GHz.

In text boxes, keyboard auto-repeat performance is significantly worse than it
was in 123. This is somewhat noticeable in Bugzilla text-boxes and is
extremely noticeable in the text input field in our Element/Matrix instance,
both adding text and backspacing -- holding down a key (or backspace) causes a
repeat rate of around 1/sec, which is unusable.

The strange thing is that perf monitors (gkrellm, top) do not show any thread
or process anywhere close to 100% CPU utilisation whilst a key is held down,
which makes me wonder if there has been some change to keyboard-event
scheduling somewhere.

For the rest of the desktop (xterm, emacs, etc) keyboard auto-repeat works
just fine.

My setup:

Intel Celeron N4000
Debian 12 (64-bit)
KDE 5 / Plasma
and I'm using Xorg, not Wayland
