User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; de-AT; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Build Identifier: Mozilla 1.2.1 english version straight from the website (Gecko/20021130) If you try to open the Preferences-Panel in Mozilla 1.2.1 the Browser freezes and can't be activated again. The browser will be useless unless you restart it. Another Click on the Preferences-Link causes the same problem again and again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Mozilla 2. Choose 'Edit' 3. Click on 'Edit' 4. Choose 'Preferences' 5. Click on 'Preferences' Actual Results: Mozilla freezes and can't be closed regular. The Task Manager has to be opend to close Mozilla manually. Re-installing Mozilla was unsuccessful unfortunately as well. Expected Results: Mozilla should have opened the Preferences-Panel without freezing instead No error message, no other hint. Just freezes ...
Try removing the XUl.mfl in your profile directory.
if you can rename XUL.mfl to XUL.bak it can be helpful too. This is bug 169777.
