Steps to reproduce:

using firefox-esr on debian.
looking for the deafult profile in the profiles.ini
looking for the default profile in about:profiles

Actual results:

the information differes.
the profile listed in the ini doesn't match the one on about:profiles

Expected results:

the information should match

How are you deciding which is the default profile from profiles.ini?

Sorry, missed the screenshot. This looks like it is working correctly. profiles.ini shows that default-esr is marked as the default for the running Firefox. Is that not what you are expecting?
