Playback displays a spinner infinitely.
Works in Chrome, so S2: switching browsers is the only workaround.

Happens on macOS / M1 as well.

Interesting. I can reproduce the loading issue outside of private browsing mode. Also, when I get that, if I click the back arrow in content, and then click back in the browser, the video plays.

What is your blocking autoplay setting (media.autoplay.default)? When I set the blocking autoplay to Block Audio and Video, then the video in iframe won't be autoplay, which is expected. It's website's responsibility to show a play button when autoplay is blocked, not only showing a spinning icon. But if your blocking autoplay is set to Block Audio (which is also our default), then the muted video iframe would be allowed to autoplay and started successfully.

media.autoplay.default=5
So this is a WebCompat issue with Google?

Yes, media.autoplay.default=5 is Block Audio and Video, which means all autoplay is not allowed until the page is activated by user gestures, see here for more details.
When the autoplay is blocked, website should show a play button on their video control interface in order to allow user to play them manually.
