Actual results:
The popup is sometimes put far away (across screens) or covered under other windows (this might be a bug but that's for another time). It's inconvenient to dig it out and click its back button.
Expected results:
The original media control should also have a back button so one can put it back in the main window.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Win32' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Hi Blair,
Thanks for the bug report! Concerning the "back to tab" behaviour, Picture-in-Picture happens to have an additional button on the address bar that allows you to show/hide the PiP window from the original video's page, therefore avoiding the need for finding the popped out window (see this support page and the section about the address bar).
That particular button was originally intended for pages that display only one video. Do you find that button to be sufficient? Or do you think that it's still worth displaying a "return" or show/hide button on top of the original video within the page?

Hi Katherine,
Thanks for the tip, the address bar button does work ;)
TBH it's still kinda inconvenient, and more importantly, rather hard to notice (attention is on the page and particularly the media control), but for now it suffices and this is probably better set to low property.
Thanks for the feedback! I acknowledge that the PiP button in the address bar may not always be easily noticeable. Perhaps at some point in the future we'll consider how we could improve this experience.
For now, I'll change this ticket to an enhancement and set priority to P3.
