Environment:
Operating system: Windows 10
Firefox version: Nightly 126.0a1 (2024-04-14)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to https://agriculture.canada.ca/en/sector/step-plate
  2. Scroll down the page.
  3. Observe the table.

Expected Behaviour:
The columns' width is correctly sized.

Actual Behaviour:
The columns' width is not correctly sized.

Notes:

  1. Screenshot attached
  2. Reproducible regardless of the ETP status
  3. Reproducible on Firefox Release as well
  4. Not reproducible on Chrome
  5. Issue found during WebCompat team [Top100] websites testing

I can repro on LInux, too. I don't think this is platform specific.

This looks like just a minor difference in table width distribution, which isn't too surprising given that precise table sizing is one of the older/less-well-specified parts of HTML/CSS.

OS: Windows 10 → All
Hardware: Desktop → All

(I would put this at the very back of webcompat issues; unless I'm missing something, I don't think users would notice the issue here or perceive it as a broken site.)
