I have been testing this on Mac 14.4.1

STR

  1. Set up a profile on the latest nightly. I used 20240415203932 (127.0a1) Run the profile with /path/to/firefox -P <profile name>
  2. Download an older nightly (20240411095407, 126.0a1). You can leave it in the dmg, or unpack it, it doesn't matter.
  3. Attempt to start the older nightly with something like ~/Downloads/Firefox\ Nightly.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox -P d

Expected Results

The "Downgrade not allowed dialog is shown"

Actual Results

No downgrade prompt is shown, Firefox hangs and never exits.
