When I use the next or previous month links on the mini-month panel, the
contents of the main view also changes. It would be a much more useful tool if
these two links changed the mini-month independently of the main view (which has
it own next and previous buttons after all). 

Then, you could have separate links on the mini-month that actually affect the
main view in a more intuative way. ie. Clicking a date changes the main view to
the day view for that day, irrespective of if you were in day, week or month
view beforehand. A link to the left of each week changes the main view to that
week and another link somewhere on the mini-month would change the main view to
that month.

The reason that this would work well is because by boldening dates in the
mini-month that have appointments, you create an excellent quick reference that
people will want to "flick through" without changing the main view. However,
once something in there attracts your attention, you'll want to drill into that
information in a way that suits you.

The problem with the current version is that, if i'm in day view and I click a
date on the mini-month, I see that day in the main view (all well and good). But
if i'm in week view and I click the same date, I see that week. The function of
the link has changed so it's not intuitive. Futhermore, if i'm in month view
(which I almost always am) those mini-month links don't do anything because the
to views always display the same month anyway.
