Yahoo has two different versions of Yahoo Mail, and they redirect Firefox to the older/less-nice one (with "/mb/" in the URL). See bug 1892697 comment 1 for more.
Note that if/when this gets fixed, folks trying to verify the fix will want to just start from https://mail.yahoo.com or https://mail.yahoo.com/m/ . The URLs we have in this bug right now have "/mb/" in them, which will directly take you to the bad version of the page (regardless of whether you're using Firefox or Chrome) if you happen to be already signed in to Yahoo Mail. To get the good version, you have to start fresh at the yahoo mail landing page (or go through the login flow, or go directly to the "/m" good version), I think.

We should be getting the tier1 mobile experience now. Can you reopen if you can still reproduce the difference?

Verified, this is actually reproducing on Chrome as well. Firefox and Chrome have both the same layout now.
Tested with:
- Browser / Version: Fenix 143.0-candidate build 1 / Chrome 139
- Operating System: Google Pixel 5 (Android 14)
