When submitting a ‘Root Inclusion Request’ Case the Request Status value is currently not standardized among the Root Store Operators. Additionally, the terminal Request Status value is not standardized. This may lead to confusion when a CA Owner submits an inclusion request to multiple Root Stores.

We should consider standardizing these values.

Priority: P2 → P1

For “Root Inclusion Request” Case types, we standardized the ‘Root Program Request Status’ values when:

  1. a Case is created,
  2. a root CA certificate is added to the Case, and
  3. the Case is submitted for Root Store Operator review.

‘Root Program Request Status’ values may still differ while in review by individual Root Store Operators to reflect individual Root Program processing. This is detailed in the Root Inclusion Request user guide.
