Environment:
Operating System: Windows 10
Firefox version: Firefox Nightly 127.0a1 (2024-04-22) (64-bit)
Preconditions:
Clean profile
Safe Search on Strict
Steps to reproduce:
- Navigate to: www.bing.com
- Search for "xxx"
- Scroll and observe the results.
Expected Behavior:
Adult content should not be displayed.
Actual Behavior:
Adult content websites are still displayed with Safe search on Strict.
Notes:
- Reproducible regardless of the status of ETP
- Reproducible on the latest build of Firefox Nightly and Release
- Works as expected using Chrome, but reproduces if the user acessess the link with the search itself https://www.bing.com/search?q=xxx&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&ghc=1&lq=0&pq=xxx&sc=11-3&sk=&cvid=B9C3995BC8924DAEA4B170DF22382423&ghsh=0&ghacc=0&ghpl=&rdr=1&rdrig=5653B71BA5C8427FAE30BFF38FFDA3EA&setlang=en&sid=12ECCB6188E46AB80F51DF0B89F96B97

This might be locale / geolocation-dependent? I'm not seeing any[1] adult content results when performing the STR in Firefox beta126 or Nightly 127, on Windows 11 in the US. Essentially all the results are about the Vin Diesel movie.
I also don't get any adult content when I directly load the search-results link in the notes at the end of comment 0 (in Firefox, where I previously toggled safe-search:strict on Bing).
[1] I checked the first 2 pages of search results; didn't go further than that.

I also could not reproduce this. Nor do I see how it's a Firefox issue; it smells like a Bing site issue to me, and if we can't even reproduce it, then we're pretty much stuck. I'll close this as works-for-me for now. If anyone can reproduce it again, let us know, and hopefully we'll be able to reproduce it as well.
