User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/116.0
Cloning issue #1849780

Steps to reproduce:

I don't turn off my PC just put it to sleep. Initially Firefox uses 2-3 GBs of RAM but after a couple of days memory usage increases to 8-10 GBs with only three open tabs. If I close Firefox and reopen it again used memory goes back to normal levels.

Actual results:

Firefox doesn't make the system slow, laggy, or unresponsive because it has 32 GBs of RAM and I don't let Firefox consume all of it.

Expected results:

It should behave like normal and stop using all the RAM even on extended uses.

After I've sent this bug report I've closed Firefox. Used memory immediately decreased by 7 GB.
After I've opened Firefox to write this comment used memory increased by 500 MB.
