For my purposes, Mozilla Mail can do the same, so I don't miss it very much. But there was one feature that I would like to see in Mozilla Mail too: Eudora stores its attachments in a seperate directoy "Eudora\attach" and does not save the original encoded version in the Mailbox-File. I like this because you could then quickly access the attachment using Konqueror without seeking through the mails and finding the one with the attachment. And as a side effect this keeps your Mailbox files small and surely improves performance. Yeah, of course you can detach the file and delete it from the message, but why not do this automatically? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: n/a Actual Results: n/a Expected Results: n/a
I think this is important, because it allows antivirus scanners to easily automatically (via general realtime scanners) or manually (via user request) scan attatchments a user may recieve via Mozilla Mail, even if they don't have e-mail virus scanners, which are intrusive anyway. Many e-mail virus scanners that do exist may not be aware of Mozilla, and even if they support Mozilla's industry standard .mbx format, they still may not support it fully. It also allows users to find attachments when they are searching their hard disk.. a typical newbie approach. (My grandfather once when he recieved an ICQ message fired up his e-mail client.. it happens.) Sam
