Steps to reproduce:
Have a password saved with username and password and specific url in an external password manager like KeePassDX, or Nextcloud Password Manager
Open Firefox Android and access site that uses basic auth.
Click on username or password field -> External Passwords auto fill opens up
Select saved password
Site loads forever, nothing happens.
Actual results:
Site loads forever, nothing happens.
Expected results:
Successful authentication
The problem seems to be that the system cannot keep the auth dialog open when switching to another app (in this case, the passwords app), resulting in undefined behavior (firefox loads forever, chrome submits empty credentials, ...).
