User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0

Steps to reproduce:

Firefox 115.10ESR

open https://dalacor.co.uk

Actual results:

The homepage loads, but you do not see the Firefox Reader View option and Function F9 does not work. Every single other page on my website shows the narrator option.

Expected results:

However, if you load the page as https://dalacor.co.uk/index.php - which is the exact same page, then the Firefox Reader View option shows in the address bar and Function F9 works.

The issue is not just present with my website. I looked at a number of websites where their homepage does not show the Reader View option unless you load the /index.php or index.html page. Most websites work in the format of https://website.co.uk. They no longer load the /index.php or /index.html part any more. https://www.theguardian.com/uk website seems to work despite not showing .html or .php so maybe the issue is more related to the / part of the url indicating a page?

It looks to me as if the Firefox Narrator feature expects to a .php or .html extension or the / in the url. Edge works perfectly without requiring the .php or .html extension.
