Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/124.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

The following command takes 5+ seconds on Apple Silicon with Virtualization:

This is prominent on the new Github Action macos-14 runners that are Apple Silicon VM's.

See the repro on GitHub actions here: https://github.com/aslushnikov/macos-14-firefox-super-slow

Actual results:

The command takes 5+ seconds.

Expected results:

The command should be nearly instant.
