Details
Firefox for Android
Steps to reproduce:
Traced the freshly installed Firefox connections to the outside world
Actual results:
I found connections to
firebaseinstallations.googleapis.com
detectportal.firefox.com
app.adjust.com
o1069899.ingest.sentry.io
assets.mozilla.net
contile.services.mozilla.com
firefox.settings.services.mozilla.com
incoming.telemetry.mozilla.org
location.services.mozilla.org
Expected results:
None of these should have happened.
Why?
Because every other website and service in europe has to ask you for consent first.
Applications that transmit data without asking, are vulnerable to legal action.
Also this contradicts Firefox marketing of being privacy friendly.
