Mine is a fresh install of 2003012008 and I get the characteristics Jeff
specifies. Recently, Toolbar grippies were re-included. Could that be a
source of problems?

Same for me. I also used to have calendar installed. However, about two months
ago, I had done a remove and install of Mozilla and the calendar hasn't been
there since (until the current embedded releases)
I have used the patch to get rid of the grippies.

Sorry, still fails.
I still have the same problems as original reporter -- no text in month view;
F1, F2, & F3 do not work; View menu options disabled; and crash on exit from
calendar.
Now using:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3a; MultiZilla v1.1.33 (b))
Gecko/20030123

I am seeing this problem with Mozilla 1.2.1, Calendar 2003012113. Javascript
errors on starting the calendar are exactly as in Comment #3. Some of the other
errors that can be generated are:
Click on "Go To Today":
Error: gCalendarWindow has no properties
Create a new event:
Error: gCalendarWindow has no properties
Source File: chrome://calendar/content/calendar.js
Line: 467
Create a new task:
Error: gCalendarWindow has no properties
Source File: chrome://calendar/content/calendar.js
Line: 489
Click on a day in the "Calendar" tab:
Error: gCalendarWindow has no properties
Source File:
Line: 30
Close calendar window:
Error: gCalendarWindow has no properties
Source File: chrome://calendar/content/calendar.js
Line: 192

This bug does not occur with the win32 installer version of Mozilla 1.2.1, on
win32 at least it seems to be restricted to the zipfile download.
