User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030120 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030120 Created test mail Selected Spell check Windows posted "Mozilla.exe has ... error log has been generated' Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.compose mail 2.select spell check 3.mozilla crashes When I load mozilla for the first time after an install, a brief display of some missing resource pops up .. but mozilla loads anyway. Second time loading Mozilla after install .. no message. After latest nightly build -- 2 of these messages (different) .. too quick to copy down however. Mozilla still crashing frequently on first use of browser window when mail client is open (first keying of a url).
Sounds like bug 185251. Paul, that spellchecker module seems not up-to-date, it does not work with current nightlies; if you want to use it, you might try older Mozilla versions like 1.2.1 or some else that are confirmed it works with.

I used the spellchecker at this site: http://spellchecker.mozdev.org/installation.html#mozilla1.3a which I must assume cannot work with 1.3b?? or nightly builds??
Right, as http://spellchecker.mozdev.org/installation.html#mozillanightly says: "Starting with about 20030116, the 1.3a binaries no longer works with nightlies." (which are the current builds that already have the name of the upcoming 1.3b release in them) At the moment there is only a Linux version for the nightlies.
