1899252 - Delay between tapping on address bar and UI response on loaded sites

Steps to reproduce:

Three button menu->new tab->load any website (I used the guardian.com)->scroll around a bit, wait for load and tap address bar.

Actual results:

The entire homepage/new tab/overview (not sure of the official name) view is loaded before the address bar becomes interactive or does anything, leading to a delay in user responsiveness. After the first load of the overview it becomes more responsive if going back to the website and tapping the address bar again but there is still a notifeable delay.

Expected results:

Address bar becomes interactive immediately and new tab/overview/homepage view loaded after, or not loaded at all.

Hi! Thanks for reporting the issue!

Unfortunately I was unable to reproduce your issue on Firefox Nightly 129 (2024-07-04), Firefox 128 Beta 9 and Firefox 127.0.2 using a Samsung A32 with Android 13. On my side the keyboard is automatically accessible.

Could you please check if your issue still reproduces on one of the above mentioned versions? If yes, please mention the following:

• Device model
• Android Version
• record the screen and attach the video with the bug

Hello!
The issue isn't that the keyboard isn't accessible, the issue is that the shortcut/overview/jump back in view loads before the keyboard, so tapping when something changes leads to you tapping on the wrong ui icon as the keyboard only loads after that while view has loaded,causing enough delay for it to feel jittery. I retested on nightly 129.0a1-20240704085638 and it is still present. The issue is that you expect the keyboard to be the first thing that loads after you tap a text input bar but it isn't, leading to you tapp8ng the wrong thing. Comparison is with latest Vivaldi stable with adress bar at bottom.

I have also experienced delays in the keyboard actually opening up once the view has loaded but I may file that as a separate issue, it depends if it is reproducible as such or comes under this one. I will try upload a screen recording with the issue as soon as I have broadband internet
