If you open the bookmarks sidebar and click on a bookmark then the focus seems
to "disappear" -- it is not on the page you just loaded nor on the list of
bookmarks. The same behaviour happens when you use the search bookmarks
function and click on a search result.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open sidebar
2. Select Bookmarks tab
3. Click on a bookmark
4. Press the arrow keys or type some text

Actual Results:
Focus seems to have disappeared.

Expected Results:
Expected to see the focus on either the page that was loaded or on the list of
bookmarks.

The focus works fine on the loaded window.

Not sure what #2 meant by working fine, but for me, focus stays on the bookmarks
sidebar. I think it is more sensible for focus to go to the loaded page (so you
can be ready to scroll around by keyboard).
Indeed,

I must close the bookmarks sidebar, then re-open it

Ctrl+B
Ctrl+B

Only then focus comes back to my bookmarks.

Until I do this, I cannot click on any bookmarks, VERY ANNOYING.

I feel there are more than one instance of focus issues in firefox 1.5 winXP SP2 (patched)

Perhaps my touchpad is once again the culprit?

toshiba M55-S325, I think? I'm only using my touchpad when this happens, ( I know touchpads are notorious for focus bugs in the past )

Thanks again for my most beloved browser firefox,

CpC
I never heard anything back about this bug but I see a lot of the same type of bug when I search now. Does this bug need to be moved to a more appropriate bug?

I'm going to add my touchpad info because like I said before, this has been a problem in the past.

Toshiba Pentium M M55-S325
Alps Version 6.0.305.6

Perhaps the focus issues from the past are moot now, however, last time someone found they had used an older library and it broke certain touchpads.

Thanks guys,

CpC
