1901070 - Investigate making test_engine_old_selector_remote_settings.js work with the new selector - missing tests for obtaining configuration data.

When we renamed test_engine_old_selector_remote_settings.js to old, I missed the fact that this is testing various conditions in the engine selector with respect to what happens if the configuration can't be obtained, or is invalid.

We should look at making this work again with the new selector before we remove it.
