Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 14; Mobile; rv:128.0) Gecko/128.0 Firefox/128.0
Steps to reproduce:
Add, edit, (delete?) a bookmark.
Actual results:
At the moment, only the current storage location (folder) is displayed under Fenix. From this view, the user cannot directly determine where the bookmark is located in the directory tree.
Expected results:
Introduce an optional tree view of bookmarks, as is standard in Firefox Desktop.

It is also not possible to expand and collapse directories via ±. Currently, you always have to swipe through almost the entire folder list to reach the desired storage location.

I hope the developers are aware how almost impossible addimg a bookmark this makes for us with hundreds+ bookmarks neatly organized in deep directory structure. The collapsible tree view is long time implemented when opening existing bookmarks, so why not when adding a new one? If such feature is hard to add for some reason, a full-text search in the folder names (and possibly existing bookmarks) could be very helpful as well.

I was just about to create a bug/feature request for exactly this! Thank you Müller for starting this, and also Tomáš for explaining exactly the problem with current bookmarks in mobile/Android FF.
Where do I up-vote this thread/bug, so that it's more visible.

This part has now been implemented with Bug 1988315 and is already available in Firefox Nightly. However, it is not yet running smoothly, which is why there are several follow-up reports on this issue. Details can be found in the bug report cited above.

In my opinion, this would be a separate feature request in terms of content. You can check whether a corresponding Bugzilla report already exists. Otherwise, feel free to create a new one. In either case, I think it would be useful to post the bug number(s) here as a reference. Thank you.
