Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:127.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/127.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Open firefox
- Visit https://radio.nrk.no/direkte
- Click on play button
Actual results:
The radio starts playing. Shortly after, when the player starts streaming the better quality source, the audio playback slows down significantly.
Expected results:
The audio playback as normal. The last "good" version: 124.0.1-2.fc40
Also tested on the fresh install of Fedora 40 in a VM. Not a HW related issue.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I could not repro on a V125 or V127 build on my Windows machine. When the higher quality music stream, the loudness increases but the speed does not change.
dxdt: Can you create a log with media preset using this very short instruction video (https://paul.cx/public/about-logging-presentation.webm) ?

Reporter, can you try on Firefox Nightly? I've very recently fixed something related, and we're having the fix landed in current release version, but it will take some time.

Yeah. The nightly works fine(129.0a1). What was the commit if you don't mind me asking? Interesting bug.

Bug 1900972 has the patch, simple programming mistake, this will percolate through all our releases shortly but is for now only in Nightly in Beta.

dxdt, this is a polite reminder that this is our professional working environment as much as it is our issue tracker, and I'm asking you to refrain from making further comments that don't move this bug towards a resolution.
