User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:127.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/127.0
Steps to reproduce:
I saw Vivaldi menu to add search engines and I thought: that's a great menu! I would suggest to enrich a bit the about:preferences#search screen to add at least the possibility to add directly new search engines from there, instead of support only the opensearch standard from the search bar, right mouse.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Search' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

We have plans to enable adding custom search engines, but currently do not have a timescale for when that will happen. Duping to bug 1650874 since that's the closest meta bug for the work.
