Just updated to 20240617214416 on macOS from 20240617085710. For some reason, macOS sees it as a brand new app: it's not the default, it needs new permissions (e.g. location, notifications).

Nightly is the name of local builds. Firefox Nightly is the name of the nightlies we ship. It doesn't sound right that would have been Nightly for you before.

I can confirm that it was Nightly for me too (as well as a few others on Slack).
Your comment indicates that it should have been changed as part of bug 1378834.

I suspect we want to keep the full name for consistency with the rest of the branding rather than reverting back to Nightly.

:jstutte, could you please find an assignee for this tracked bug? Given that it is a regression and we know the cause, we could also simply backout the regressor. If you disagree with the tracking decision, please talk with the release managers.

Setting 129 as Fixed, the regressor Bug 1900255 was backed out of central.
