  4. Navigate through tabs list
  5. Notice there is a purple visual highlight ring to indicate the current tab; however, the current tab is not conveyed to screen readers
    • Current behavior is <website name> for each tab selection.

Suggestion:

  • Adjust the content description to say Current tab, <website name> on the tab with the purple visual indicator or similar.
  • Alternatively, if something else is conveying programmatic state about the tabs, that could also be used.

Current content description for every tab is <website name>. The purple current tab's content description is what needs an update.

Hey Olivia, thanks for filing this bug. I believe that this is already being addressed in Bug 1904050 so I'm going to close this as duplicate but feel free to reopen it if I have misunderstood anything.
