Affected versions

  • 129.0a1 (2024-06-25)

Tested platforms

  • Affected platforms: Windows 10x64, Windows 11
  • Unaffected platforms: macOS, Ubuntu

Preconditions

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Wikipedia and paste “ok text”
  2. Close Firefox via App Menu or Ctrl + Shift + Q while the warning message is displayed.
  3. Open Firefox.

Expected result

  • Firefox is opened.

Actual result

  • Firefox processes are still running.

Regression range

  • Not a regression. New feature.

Additional notes

  • Attached a screen recording.
  • This also happens with the DLP agent enabled.
  • This does not reproduce when uploading a file and the warning dialog is displayed.

This is probably the same thing as bug 1901197 - having the warn dialog show up means that we haven't responded to the request yet.

Confirmed that the fix to bug 1901197 fixes this as well, so marking it as a duplicate.
