- 129.0a1 (2024-06-26)
Affected versions
N/A
Tested platforms
- Affected platforms: Windows 10, macOS 12, Ubuntu 20
Preconditions
- browser.search.region US
- Have at least one CC already saved
Steps to reproduce
- Reach the payment form on https://www.theiconic.com.au
- Click on the CC Number field and select an entry from the autocomplete dropdown.
- Click on the Expiry date field.
- Click on the CC Number field and choose to clear form.
- Click on the Expiry date field and select an entry from the autocomplete dropdown.
- Click on the Expiry date field.
- Click on the Card number fields.
Expected result
All the CC fields should be autofilled and cleared accordingly.
Actual result
The clear form dropdown is not displayed for the Expiry date field if the autofill is triggered from the Card number field. If the form is autofilled from the Expiry date field, clicking on the Card Number field will display the autocomplete dropdown instead of the clear form dropdown (for a better understanding, please see the screen recording attached).
Regression range
- Not a recent regression.
Additional notes
Note that the Expiry date is also NOT capture and saved via CC capture doorhanger, upon manually submitting the form (see comment 1).
In Chrome, after the fields are autofilled, the clear form dropdown is not displayed at all for none of the fields (see comment 2).

Fixed by bug 1906292. All the CC eligible fields are now autofilled and cleared accordingly while following the steps described in Comment 0.
As we agreed with the engineering team and based on this comment, I will mark this as fixed and verified.
We are unable to verify the issue regarding the expiry date not being captured and saved via CC capture doorhanger, as the CC doorhanger is no longer displayed in the latest Nightly 132.0a1 (2024-09-08) (but it is on Nightly 129.0a1 (2024-07-03)).
