  2. Observe

Expected Behavior:
The page loads

Actual Behavior:
WEBGPU not enabled message

Notes:

  • Reproduces regardless of the status of ETP
  • Reproduces in Firefox Nightly, and Firefox Release
  • Does not reproduce in Chrome

It seems that downstream is displaying this (source link as a generic error handling behavior? Next step would be to set up a local build, and figure out what's actually going wrong here.

It's definitely not correct to block this on webgpu-phase-2, though, since (1) I expect all functionality that this page needs to be fixed with its predecessor webgpu-v1 (bug 1616739). We've been using webgpu-apps as the overall index of applications we care about making work with Firefox, so I'll re-link this to that.
