I seem to remember that old Communictor had a taskbar tray utility that would
run in the background and check for new messages on your accounts. Since it
seems that Mozilla has an opiton to remain loaded in the background it would be
nice if this process could check for new messages as well. That way the Mail &
News window would not have to remain open all the time.
This might also serve as another selling point for the "Keep mozilla in memory
to to improve startup performance" option. I could imagine some old time power
users cringing at the thought of something "consuming resources when not in
use". If the process was checking for mail that might be "okay". ;)
