Steps to reproduce:

Search Engine is set to Google Search Engine in both Firefox Mobile and Firefox Focus. Searching for anything in search bar only shows 3 search suggestions in Firefox Mobile whereas Firefox Focus shows 10 search suggestions. All search related settings are enabled both in Firefox Mobile and Firefox Focus.

Actual results:

Searching for anything in search bar only only shows 3 search suggestions in Firefox Mobile whereas Firefox Focus shows 10 search suggestions.

Expected results:

While both Firefox Mobile and Firefox Focus being Mozilla Products, I expected searching for anything in both of them should show same number of Search Suggestions. But, Firefox Mobile shows only 3 search suggestions whereas Firefox Focus shows 10 search suggestions. I guess get search suggestions option in Firefox Focus which says it will send what you type in the address bar to your search engine is missing in Firefox Mobile. Please, add this option in Firefox Mobile too or fix it to get same number of search suggestions in Firefox Mobile like in Firefox Focus.

This is the same issue even in Firefox Beta and Firefox Nightly. Firefox Mobile, Firefox Beta and Firefox Nightly shows 3 search suggestions whereas Firefox Focus shows 10 search suggestions. I have added screenshots for reference. Please, resolve this as soon as possible. Thank You.

The current situation, as shown in the screenshots, only occurs when Fenix is in a clean state and does not have results for the many other suggestion providers (around 9 as far as quick debugging shows), but only for the search engine provider.

That is why the total number of search engine suggestions is lower than in Focus in that scenario, but the engine suggestion limit is enforced because when suggestions from other providers (history, bookmarks, synced tabs, clipboard, Firefox Suggest, open tabs, etc.) appear, they must be visible and accessible rather than being pushed down by search engine results.

Due to the app's privacy-based profile, Focus does not have any other providers besides the search engine one.
So, I do not think we want to limit the number of suggestions in Focus.

The current issue in Fenix does not appear to be anything other than what is expected and implemented in accordance with the specifications.
One possible improvement, perhaps more difficult to implement than the current one, is to have a dynamic limit for engine suggestions based on the number of other suggestions returned by other providers, similar to what we have for top sites.
