It seems that the OOM error is not actually due to an OOM:

This might be due to a bug in a new version of egl-wayland or us misusing its API.

This really is typically an OOM (lack of virtual memory), but it is on a 64-bit platform, so in practice we almost never see it. We are trying to map in the shared memory backing a SourceSurfaceSharedData and failing. There is "only" 22GB of virtual memory space available, so something clearly used up most of the memory.

If it really isn't an OOM but something else, we would need a log file to see what the error is. Since this is Linux, you should be able to capture the MOZ_LOG for the "chromium" module on the command line, even if Firefox crashes by adding an environment variable:
MOZ_LOG="chromium:5" /path/to/firefox 2>&1 | tee test.log

But what I suspect would be more useful is a memory report (go to about:memory, and hit measure, and save the report). I realize that might be challenging to acquire. It should hopefully provide evidence to prove whether or not a leak was present in Firefox with the newer Wayland.

Not sure if I did the right procedure I downgraded wayand again:

And I'm running firefox as mentioned:

But acessing youtube did not crash it. Not sure if im missing something.
