The page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/choosing-firefox-update-channel states that ESR "receives major updates on average every 42 weeks".

Looking at the release history in https://whattrainisitnow.com/calendar/, this appears to have been accurate for some earlier ESRs, but is no longer the case for more recent ones. The cadence now seems to be ~annual:

  • Firefox 78 ESR: first released 2020-06-30
  • Firefox 91 ESR: first released 2021-08-10
  • Firefox 102 ESR: first released 2022-06-28
  • Firefox 115 ESR: first released 2023-07-04
  • Firefox 128 ESR: first released 2024-07-09

This should probably be updated.
