I was creating sub folders & moving mail into them
just fine for a while, now I'm in some kind of
state where mozilla, mail& news lockup with 100%
cpu utilization. Restarting/rebooting don't help

Reporter: 
Can you please close mozilla (including quicklaunch) and delete the file
"xul.mfl" in your mozilla user profile ?
(see the release notes for the path)
