Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:129.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/129.0

Steps to reproduce:

When I go to the login for one of my credit cards at https://auth.securebanklogin.com/?brand=card
I enter the username and password as normal.

Actual results:

The site claims the username and password are invalid.

Expected results:

It should log me in. The login works with Microsoft Edge and another computer still running Firefox 128.0.3. I have tried safe mode, clearing cookies/cache, with no change. I am not having problems with other secure logins. When I did a password reset, it did take me to the site without having to log in, but once logged out, could not log back in. All of this is on Windows 10, 64-bit, with 64-bit Firefox 129.0. I'm a bit wary of running the regression test as that could get me locked out due to too many failures.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Toolkit::Password Manager' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Password Manager
Product: Firefox → Toolkit

I do not believe this is a Password manager issue. I am MANUALLY typing in the username and password.

you could use the browser's debugging tools to see exactly what it's sending and receiving and compare that with Edge using its debugging tools. Alternatively use something like wireshark.

I tried again today, and now it's working. I didn't do anything, so either it was some weird glitch with that web site, or there was some hidden list or other update FF did in the background.
