Steps to reproduce:

1. Navigate to: https://www.la7.it/in-onda/video/imane-khelif-polemica-tra-aprile-e-ronzulli-la-pugile-non-il-pugile-e-la-senatrice-su-queste-cose-06-08-2024-554174
2. Click on the play button and observe

Expected Behavior:
Video plays

Actual Behavior:
The video does not play

Notes:

• Reproduces regardless of the status of ETP
• Reproduces in Firefox Nightly, and Firefox Release
• Does not reproduce in Chrome

I can reproduce the issue on Nightly131.0a1 Windows11.

I see an exception trying to call webkitRequestFullscreen, so that might be related.

Interesting, the video is playing correctly with my nightly build 132.0a1 with extensions installed, while I still see the exception "Uncaught TypeError: document.getElementById(...).webkitRequestFullscreen is not a function". So call webkitRequestFullscreen may not be the root cause. I can reproduce this problem with the trouble-shooting mode.

Alright, it looks like the extension uBlock Origin did the magic. With this extension enabled, the video is playing correctly. I was guessing if this may be ORB related but I didn't see explicit console messages.

Works for me too. Tested on Linux and Windows.
