Steps to reproduce:

  1. Click the 'three-dot' menu.
  2. Click the "Bookmarks" button.
  3. Tap the three-dot menu next to the bookmark.
  4. Click the 'Delete' button.
  5. Tap the three-dot menu next to the bookmark folder.
  6. Click the 'Delete' button.

Actual results:

In Step 4, there is no confirmation dialog, which may lead to accidental deletion.
In Step 6, a confirmation dialog appears, preventing accidental deletion.

Expected Results:

A confirmation dialog should appear in both cases to prevent accidental deletion of bookmarks or bookmark folders.

Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true

A record is deleted by confirming the deletion, but a single link is hard-deleted without confirming the deletion.

Thanks. I'll pass this bug along to the team working on a new bookmarks design.

This was an intentional design decision given the number of clicks required and that there is an undo snackbar in the case of an accident. We only show the dialog in the case of folders because so much more data is at risk of being lost.
