Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a website, e.g., 'https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firefox'.
  2. Tap on the three vertical dots menu.
  3. Select 'Translate Page'.
  4. Select your desired translation language from the bottom dropdown menu.
  5. Click 'Translate' to translate the entire page.
  6. Click 'Not now' button.

Expected behavior

The 'Translating' prompt should disappear immediately.
The 'Translation' icon should not appear in the address bar.
The translation process should be canceled, and the page should remain in the original language.

Actual Behavior

The 'Translating' prompt remains visible.
The 'Translation' icon appears in the address bar.
Despite clicking 'Not now,' the page still translates into the selected language after a short delay.

Version: unspecified → Firefox 129

We should fix this so that "Not Now" also checks for an in progress translation and stops it. Right now, it is just dropping the bottom sheet. Thanks for the report!
