Operating system: Windows 10
Firefox version: Firefox 129.0/131

Preconditions:

  • must be logged in

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to https://web.whatsapp.com
  2. Copy an image from a conversation.
  3. Try to paste it in another conversation.

Expected Behavior:
The image can be pasted.

Actual Behavior:
The image does not get pasted, an error is shown.

Notes:

  • Reproduces regardless of the status of ETP
  • Reproduces in Firefox Release
  • Does not reproduce in Firefox Nightly, and Chrome
  • Moved the issue for a possible uplift/patch since it is an important website

Calin, can you confirm this is still occurring? I just tested on Firefox 131 on both Linux and Windows, and couldn't repro either.
