Following changes for animating the sidebar in bug 1898251, we should investigate the potential performance issues of adding an opacity transition to vertical tabs labels if a user has thousands of tabs.

We've already added the transition to the labels for sidebar tools, so we should add the same to vertical tabs and the new tab button if possible.
