Steps to reproduce:
Edit the URL of a bookmark.
Actual results:
There is no comparison with previously saved bookmarks.
Expected results:
Background synchronization, as already implemented when saving a bookmark, could prevent multiple entries with identical addresses. If the user edits an entry that has already been saved as a bookmark, saving should be prevented with an error message.

It is by design that bookmarks with duplicate URLs are allowed - some people want this based on how they set their folders up.

Related to bug 1807588 Bookmarks search does not find duplicate entries.
