I saw this twice today, once with akkana (/u/akkana) and once with par (/u/akkana) I remove ~/.mozilla run mozilla -installer and the installer never stops. (the migration progress dialog never goes away.) I've only seen it when $HOME is over NFS. the common case is not over NFS (most home users have local drives) but it is common for corporate environments (like netscape).
Is it trying to do any file locking? 4.x had a bug where the spellcheck library tried to do file locking on its dictionary files, and if they were NFS mounted, sometimes the mail compose window would hang.

I haven't investigated yet, but I'm guessing its a NFS locking bug, too. accepting.
Target Milestone: M14

Is this a beta stopper?
I don't think we've ever claimed this would work. As I recall, it didn't work in 4.x either. I don't think this should be a beta stopper.
