Steps to reproduce:
- Launch Firefox 130.0 Mac with Factory settings
- In the Firefox menu, choose Settings
- Click Privacy
- Click Location
- Check the box to disallow location requests
- Quit Firefox
- Relaunch Firefox
Actual results:
Opening page shows my location in the upper left with the temperature.
Expected results:
Opening page doesn't show my location in the upper left with the temperature because I've forbidden location access.

The location option you've found in your setting disables a feature that allows websites to access your precise location.
The new weather widget relies solely on your IP address. All websites you open have access to your IP address and approximate location.
The only way to hide your IP address is to use a foreign proxy or VPN service.

Marking this as WONTFIX as u759320 is correct - our Weather service uses your IP address to generate an approximate location. Thanks!
