User Story

platform:windows,mac,linux
impact:annoyance-minor
configuration:general
affects:all
branch:release
diagnosis-team:apz

Environment:
Operating system: Mac OS X 10.15
Firefox version: Firefox 130.0/132

Preconditions:

  • Trackpad gestures enabled

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to https://www.google.com
  2. Search for anything.
  3. Swipe down (scroll) using the the trackpad.
  4. Swipe left/right to return to the previous page.

Expected Behavior:
Returns to the previous page.

Actual Behavior:
Still tries to scroll the page.

Notes:

  • It seems that the scrollbar remains active longer on Firefox when compared to Chrome and it won't allow swipe left/right gesture in order to return to the previous page until the scroll bar become inactive
  • Reproduces regardless of the status of ETP
  • Reproduces in Firefox Nightly, and Firefox Release
  • Does not reproduce in Chrome
