User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:130.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/130.0
Steps to reproduce:
I open my bookmark to Gmail.
https://mail.google.com/mail/
it opens to this after load --> https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox
Actual results:
the check-boxes next to each email are missing.
This started a few versions ago..
I found a work around and that is to press Ctrl+F5 to force a refresh of the page..
I have been hoping that Mozilla would notice it on there own and fix this.. but alas nope.
Expected results:
The gmail check-boxes next to each email should have displayed...
further notes.. a F5 regular refresh causes it to occur again..
I am not having issue with any other website, only with Gmail's check-boxes.
please note that I have disk caching locked off.. so I can save on my NVMe drives write cycles as I browse the web often..

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Bookmarks & History' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

ok, I just checked my DELL laptop and Gmail appears to be working normal with the same addons .. and Firefox v130.0.1..
so it seems like it might be a driver issue with my EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB gfx card's driver by Nvidia.

I have Nvidia display driver v560.81 on my DELL G15 5515 laptop installed..
however there is also a GPU in the CPU by AMD that is used out side of games.. so it might still be an Nvidia driver issue.

Tentatively moving to Core::Graphics, please move if there's a better component.

I just tested Gmail for this issue in
"Firefox (Nightly) v132.0a1 (2024-09-20) (64-bit)"
and the check-boxes are showing again.. on first load.
seems to have been fixed in the nightly build...
unless it a cookie issue.. as my cookies in my Nightly profile got over written with the release channel profile's cookie sqlite db file when I
did a manual backup and sync of my profiles.. I had to re-login to all my accounts, Gmail Facebook etc.
but I am still seeing the error message on load of Gmail..
an F5 refresh generates the following error message.
"Oops! Your selected image failed to load."
no clue what is causing it.

Since i have disk-caching disabled except for cookies,
because I use a 1TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe SSD to minimize writes to my storage device.
I found a work around using CTRL+F5 and a F5 refresh causes it to reappear.
so a S3 seems right.
S3 (Normal) Blocks non-critical functionality or a work around exists.
while testing the Firefox Nightly when it was v132.0 it seemed to have been fixed...
however the fix was not passed down to the previous versions ie v131.0 and v130.0.x.
oh well.

I updated to Firefox v132.0.0 on my release install only to find the issue is still there... odd..
so I went into the Firefox settings and removed all of the 80 or so Google cookies and restarted Firefox..
that fixed it.. for now.
seems like it was an outdated cookie issue..
sry...
maybe not a bug after all.

Thank you for the detailed report. Based on Comment 12, it appears that the issue might have been caused by outdated cookies, therefore I’m closing this as WORKSFORME for now. If the issue reoccurs, please provide clearer STR.
