RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1916517

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0

Steps to reproduce:

Firefox ESR and standard, from Mozilla repositories, have problems with Chromium if installed on Debian 12.7.

When you do an apt update && apt dist-upgrade Chromium encounters package problems.

This is the 2nd bug of this kind that I report to you in a few weeks. The integration of your repository in Debian creates big problems, we have the impression of being beta testers which is very unpleasant.

The only way to fix this is to remove the installation of Firefox ESR 128 and Firefox 130 from the Mozilla repositories and remove access to the Mozilla repositories.

Actual results:

Problems with updates

Expected results:

Everything should have worked without any errors.

It is sad to be stuck in version 115 ESR under Debian, we cannot benefit from the major advances of this browser such as the translation of web pages which is a must for all users who do not speak fluent English.

We really have the feeling that the majority of Debian developers want to work as little as possible to maintain this OS, which is sad...

You should offer them to integrate your developments directly into their OS, to be you the maintainers of Firefox for Debian. We need all the technological advances, especially security ones, to use Firefox in a practical and secure way...

Regards
