Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:130.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/130.0

Steps to reproduce:

On my linux mint desktop I opened firefox and created an account to use the sync feature.
On my linux mint laptop I opened firefox and attempted to login into my account to sync the 2 browsers.

Actual results:

I continually get an incorrect password message. I have verified multiple times the login and password are correct.

Expected results:

I expected to login into my account and complete the sync process.

I have checked and there are no error logs to post. I don't think a screen shot of my invalid login would be helpful. I was able to to sync to my phone successfully.

That's unfortunately very hard to help with the information provided.

Can you log in to the website from the browser on the laptop? https://accounts.firefox.com
Any chance the characters typed might not match the layout?

Does it work in a new profile?

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Sync' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Sync

I was not able to get able to log in from the firefox browser. I tried to login from a different browser and I had exactly the same results.

I changed the password on the desktop and now I'm able to login in from the laptop an sync.

It is now working after a password change. Thank you for your responsiveness.
