the nighlies are debug versions. I cant use the at all. complains about a msvcrtd.dll not installed
can you mention build ID and the version you downloaded: installer, zip, etc. ?
2003020617 both zip file and sub installer
Confirmed. I cannot even launch. It is from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/2003-02-06-17-trunk/ and size of both installer and zip version are 3MB more than usual.
Confirmed with 2003020617 on Windows 98, ZIP-File Changing severity to blocker, this really blocks Mozilla testing.

my guess is that this will properly work tomorrow. I'm more interested in how did it happen so that it doesn't happen again...
In my case using build 1.3.0.2003020617 on Windows ME the installation process stops with the error message: 1157: Could not load C:\Windows\temp\ns_temp\xpcom.ns\bin\xpistub.dll
3MB more? Debug should be on the order of 10-20MB more....
Has this been fixed? I've just downloaded ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/mozilla-win32-talkback.zip without reading this report and it seems to be a normal build to me. It's only 11.580.111 bytes. Build ID: 2003020704
build 2003020704 wfm on Win2k. (the .zip archive)
My bad, those builds yesterday we uploaded in error.

Ya know, if the DEBUG functions could be made controlable ( option or env var or even install choice ) it would be damn nice to have available when a bug appears!
