User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:132.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/132.0

Steps to reproduce:

First Thanks for Nothing. You now have taken an hour out of my day with the latest "UPDATE". The bookmarks toolbar was missing the bookmarks when I started the browser.

Actual results:

I followed your instructions to perform the latest update. Now my bookmarks toolbar appears where my tabs should appear. Clicking on the "+" button to add tabs, does nothing. You have essentially bricked my productivity. Thanks -- appreciate it.

Expected results:

First off -- you should not have released an update that was not thoroughly tested. I would consider myself as a LONG TIME user to be an advanced user. Clearly no one tested the "People are using the bookmarks toolbar" scenario. Your fix to that, lost my tabs. Clearly noone tested that scenario either. This is major disappoint and productivity drag. Get your act together. I'm sorry this is unacceptable and I am extremely upset and inconvenienced, as is most of your most dedicated user base, I have to assume.

So I finally found the restore defaults button. The tabs are back, and so are my bookmarks toolbar bookmarks. I'll figure out how to get the top menu bar back in a minute and restore my dark setting. Honestly, you need to be better. You are the premier browser in my view. It should never come to this.

This is likely bug 1919721, which was fixed in beta 2, but I suspect what occurred is that you were one of the unlucky few that already had beta 1 applied before you restarted to beta 2 (we halted beta 1 updates once we realized what was happening, but some people still managed to get it). That puts you in the set of users that was affected by the bug, since beta 1 was the one that caused the corrupted UI customization state.

Unless you have a backup of your preferences stored somewhere, the remediation action is to do the following:

Go to the AppMenu > More Tools > Customize Toolbar
At the bottom of the customize interface, choose "Restore Defaults"

This will reset the UI to the defaults. From here, you can manually update the toolbars to the state that you'd prefer.

Our apologies that this issue slipped into beta 1.
